Abstract

This presentation looks at security from an ISP point of view. Analysis of threats they face is given, as well as a series of best practices on topics including BGP and OSPFv3. Analysis is split into areas; System level security, main ISP abckbone, the provider edge/customer premise equipment. It looks at ISP supporting activities, at the service/application layer, i.e. DNS, HTTP, SMTP. It looks at IPv6 specific security issues, such as IPsec, and then lastly gives an overview of IPv6 and m2m-x.
