D2.2.4: Final IPv4 to IPv6 Transition Cookbook for Organisational/ISP (NREN) and Backbone Networks.Chown, Tim (2005) D2.2.4: Final IPv4 to IPv6 Transition Cookbook for Organisational/ISP (NREN) and Backbone Networks. 6NET Deliverable. Full text available as:
AbstractWe describe the IPv6 transition mechanisms available to the National Research and Education Networks (NRENs) who are part of the 6NET project. The mechanisms need to operate to complement those that provide an IPv6 service to the end users in the universities. We review the mechanisms, state the current usage of those mechanisms, and describe some of the scenarios for NREN transition. This is the final release of the cookbook series, updated three times during the lifetime of the 6NET project. For the sake of clarity and brevity, some material may be found in previous editions that are not reproduced here (these sections are described in the Executive Summary).
